2012Pitch, Hit & Run

This Saturday, May 19th, Stamford American Little League is hosting the 
annual Pitch, Hit & Run Competition 
 
FREE TO ALL PARTICIPANTS 
 
 
When: Local Event  May 19th at 3 PM 
Where: Gene Caporizzo Field, Vine Road, Stamford, CT 
Who: Boys & Girls ages 7 to 14 (age as of July 17th) 
What to Bring: Birth Certificate, Bat and Glove 
 
Competitors compete in four age groups: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14 

 
The Pitch 
Try to throw strikes like Major League pitchers by taking a shot at 
hitting the MLB Strike Zone. 
  
The Hit 
Swing away from home plate! Just like big leaguers, 
you'll be judged on distance and accuracy. 
 
The Run 
Start at second and head for home to test your speed at running the bases. 
  
  
  
All Around Pitching, Hitting and Running Champions advance to the Sectional Competition on June 2, 2012 from EACH age and gender group!

City closes ALL public fields today!

Re: Field Closure for all Field 5/10/12
 
Pleased be advised that all City Ball Fields that are maintained by the City Parks Department have been officially closed today 5/10/12 by Landscape specialist Phil D’Amico, because of the inclement weather conditions which have created safety issues on all fields. City Crews will be continue to bail water off all fields to hopefully continue to play Friday 5/11/12. If there are any questions please free to call 977-5034.

You will be able to pre-order your photos and pay for them with a credit card on-line. To pre-order your photos you will need to do the following: 
  • Go to Bishop Photo's website : www.bishopphoto.com
  • Select the "Pre-order' button on the right of the screen.
  • Enter the order form code StamfordAm2012
  • View, order, and purchase your photo package.
  • Print your receipt and bring it to the Photo Shoot on Opening Day.
